Elementary Age Art Classes

COLOR WHEELS CLASSES are offered after school or during school breaks. Most classes are 45 to 60 minutes in length, depending upon the age of the students.  A typical class begins with an introduction to an artist, a style, an artwork, an element of art, etc.  The students are then instructed start to finish through a project that draws inspiration from the introduction piece. Students are encouraged to make their project their own.  Students are also encouraged to get messy and enjoy the process.  Everyone goes home with one finished work of art per class period.

My girls are in their third year of art education with Ms. Shelley and the classes are the highlight of their week! They love doing "real" art projects and getting to use all kinds of media, and I love that each project involves the study of an artist and his or her particular style. They are always so proud of their work and love telling me all about what they learned! ~parent of student artists
